Welcome to .handbrained, my digital corner.
Originally born in Lisbon, Portugal, at the age of 6 I moved to France. Later on, after going back to Portugal, more recently, I lived in Ireland, Switzerland and now am in The Netherlands.
In Paris I went to the Sorbonne University to attend the Communication course, which I did not conclude a bit by laziness. After, in Portugal, I graduated in Film and TV production. I worked for about 10 years in the entertainment industry. However, in 2012, I left for Ireland to collaborate with a hi-tech company.
In between, I did several jobs as a freelancer, always in the film, TV, and social media areas. I founded a production company whose aim was to promote Portugal as a place to shoot and in 2011 created a film festival, PUFF – Portugal Underground Film Festival. It initially had two editions and after became a road-festival for a while.
As an expat who lived in five different countries in Europe, I aim to share some of my several experiences abroad. One of them is my passion for photography through my portfolio blackout: Photographic Experiences. I talk about some thoughts and feelings, mostly now with the pandemic, as well and some external content I find interesting. This can go from articles to videos, books or podcasts, educational, or motivational content.
With the pandemic we are obliged to stay at home often, so I’ve been learning more about productivity and how to stop procrastinating. On the other hand, the proper usage of specific apps to improve our productivity can be our toughest allies to benefit from the 24h a day has.
